I’M REALLY NOT CAT-MINDED

Two women were looking at cards on a rack in the seaside town ‘we-sell-everything’ shop. The rack was stacked with cute cat cards – cat in a bag, cat in a hat, cat in charge.

“I’m really not cat-minded,” said one of the women, her fingers skimming the cards but not picking anything up. The woman at her side smiled politely.

“Are you not?” she said, obviously feeling obliged to speak. “Well, they’re not for everyone, are they?”

“No they’re not. I’m definitely not cat-minded.”

The woman nodded before asking: “Do you prefer dogs?”

“Not especially.”

“So you don’t have any pets then?”

“Oh yes, we have three cats.”
